Making the decision to leave the family home and downsize to a smaller, easier to manage retirement apartment
can be a daunting decision.
If you are someone who is living in a large house, and are feeling overwhelmed at the sheer thought of moving, rest assured this is a normal emotion and you are not alone. We spoke to Lorraine Cox, Director and Founder of Downsizing with Ease, who has successfully moved over 100 residents into Greengate Villages. Here is what she had to say:

The countdown to Christmas began on a high note at St Brigid’s Green
as residents and guests got dressed up in their best formal wear to attend Opera on the Green. The annual twilight event was held on the Village Green, with over 300 guests tantalised under the stars by the beautiful voices of Blake and Rebecca from Opera Australia.

The event will showcase superb talents performing opera from classical to Broadway on our Village Green.
You’ve always enjoyed the Eastern Suburbs, so retiring at St Brigid’s Green was the obvious choice. Staying local meant you could still hop on the same bus to Eastgardens, or just walk 400m up the road to Pacific Square for a few groceries. As you sit on the balcony of your apartment, you watch the sunrise, silhouetting the Sydney skyline against the pink sky. You feel the cool breeze blowing in from Maroubra beach and you take a moment to appreciate where you are. You head inside and down the lift to the café for a coffee – who knew retirement living could be so easy?
Spring is here, bringing with it warmer weather and our latest edition of the Village Green newsletter. This Spring we decided to take a fresh approach for our readers and focused in on the Sydney real estate market. We also discussed our Sydney Villages, St Patrick's Green in Kogarah and St Brigid's Green in Maroubra.
